Arizona DOT: Know Snow

Posted by Infra on Tuesday, November 19th, 2013

“Ultimately, if you’re behind a plow, you’re going to get from point A to point B,” says snowplow driver Justen Williams.
The biggest challenge ADOT snowplow drivers face while plowing is other vehicles. If you find yourself near an active plow, the safest place for you to be is at least 50 feet behind it. Let the plow clear the road ahead before you drive on it.

Posted by Infra on Thursday, November 14th, 2013

Now, the Blue Line Extension will add 9 miles to the system, expanding the state’s first light rail corridor from Center City to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Loveland, CO: Big Thompson River Diversion

Posted by Content Coordinator on Tuesday, November 12th, 2013

As a direct result of the flood’s damage, eroding river banks were getting closer to the area’s 48-inch water transmission line, which was the last pipe of three main lines that bring treated water to the town. It was determined that the best solution would be to force the river water away from the pipe. Something drastic had to be done, so it was decided to bring in trees to lie across the channel to create a dam to divert the river. ”
