Our employees and colleagues tell their story of a very serious near miss incident from last August. Although no one was hurt and there was no serious property damage, it was a very scary near miss, as you will find when you listen to the crews’ account of that day. The Charles J. Miller Road Bridge was first built in 1988 by the McHenry County Division of Transportation. To provide for current and future traffic demand along Miller Road, a second bridge was proposed. The new bridge, built north of the current bridge, was completed in 2013.
