Tampa International Airport underwent a major transformation and recently unveiled it nearly one billion dollar expansion, Master Plan Phase 1. From November 2014 to February 2018, a combination of EarthCam cameras documented construction of the new SkyConnect trains and a new consolidated rental car facility. UDOT closed Bangerter Highway near 7000 South the night of Aug. 19 while crews installed a new pedestrian bridge. The bridge is part of the Bangerter Interchanges project. UDOT is building a freeway-like overpass at 7000 S. This new pedestrian bridge over Bangerter Highway replaces one that was removed earlier this year to make room for the overpass.

And just like that, a pedestrian bridge on Bangerter Highway disappeared overnight (thanks to the hard work of our crews). The bridge was removed to make way for a new freeway-like interchange at 7000 South. The bridge will be relocated in Salt Lake County.

After six months of detailed planning and coordination, we erected a 91,000-pound, 100-foot-long pre-assembled baggage conveyor bridge over the main airport departure road in less than eight hours. The work took place in the middle of the night to minimize any potential disruption to airport operations.

Sunrise over the St. Croix Crossing, summer 2016. St. Croix Crossing connects Oak Park Heights, MN and St. Joseph, WI. The structure over the St. Croix River is expected to open in 2017.
