“I think that transportation infrastructure is an investment in the economy and it grows the economy. It pays back dividends. Not just the jobs that are created during construction, but the jobs that are sustained by businesses that are improved in access by that transportation.”

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) commissioned artist Susan Kaprov to develop three dynamic themes for the Arts in Transit program: “The Art of Neon,” the “Natural Environment of Southern Nevada,” and “Multi-Modal Transportation in Las Vegas.” Thirty-five transit stops along the Sahara Express route had a unique art piece installed.

New Solar Plant Brings Jobs, Cheaper Energy and Cleaner Air to Nevada Residents

Building the world’s largest central tower receiver concentrating solar power (CSP) plant near Tonopah, Nevada is bringing new jobs to the area and bolstering its economy, as well as providing energy to customers hundreds of miles away…When completed, the new Crescent Dunes Solar Energy plant will power up to 75,000 homes with cleaner, cheaper solar energy during peak electricity periods. The majority of clean energy generated will be consumed in northern Nevada.
