Oregon DOT: Rehabilitating the Historic Siskiyou Rail

How a 65 mile section of the historic and rugged Siskiyou rail line in southern Oregon and northern California was opened using a mix of public and private funds, including $7 million in federal TIGER funds. Rail construction reopened the line that had been closed since 2008.

A timelapse of ‎Folsom Lake Marina. I’ve been collecting and assembling these since March of 2015 through August 2015 showing the effects of the drought in California is having on our reservoirs. This is from Brown’s Ravine where the marina is. Every time I’ve watched it I’ve seen something new (did you see the Sea Plane?).

Santa Monica, CA: Testing the Expo Line Trains

The first passenger train in more than 60 years rolled into downtown Santa Monica on July 29, 2015 as part of the initial train testing for the future extension of the Metro Expo Line….Once complete, the Expo Line, which currently runs from downtown L.A. to Culver City, will be extended 6.6 miles ending at 4th Street and Colorado Avenue in downtown Santa Monica just steps away from the Santa Monica Pier and the Pacific Ocean.
