ADOT has completed an extensive $25 million repair of the landslide damaged roadway, removing approximately one million cubic yards of rock material, realigning the roadway, and constructing a rock buttress at the base of the slide.

Tuesday, March 3rd, 2015ADOT crews have completed repairs to State Route 89A and the roadway is once again open to traffic (Feb. 10, 2015). The road had been closed to traffic since Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015 because of damage caused from a sinkhole in the Oak Creek Canyon switchbacks.
