This short video takes a look at the reconstruction of the IL 40 bridge that connects the communities of Sterling and Rock Falls.
22,000 vehicles per day use the bridge. The bridge is 1,030 feet long, has one million pounds of rebar, and 6,000 cubic yards of concrete. Demolition on the old bridge started in January and the $26.9 million project is scheduled to be completed by mid-November. – IllinoisDOT on YouTube
