Today’s cities increasingly need to look at alternative solutions to find more green space. So organizations such as the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, the PATH Foundation and the City Parks Alliance are looking at unused infrastructures as opportunities to build new parks. So-called linear parks are much longer than wide and are formed as part of a rails-to-trails conversion of railroad beds to recreational use. And they are great for a nice walk.
