In the Netherlands, bicycles are fully integrated into daily life. In New York City, despite the introduction of bike lanes during the Bloomberg administration and the introduction of Citi Bike stations around the city, bike culture is still evolving.
Dorine Bothof and Dominique Luttik, journalism students at the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, who are producing a documentary about bike culture in the Netherlands, decided to take a look at how the mode of transport is used in New York.
