COMMUNITY WIND DEVELOPMENT Ridgewind Wind Farm is an 11-turbine, 25-MW, community-based energy development (C-BED) project completed in December 2010 in the heart of southwestern Minnesota. Ryan worked closely with developer Project Resources Corporation (PRC), Siemens, local landowners, Frattalone Excavating, electrical subcontractor Consulting Engineering Group (CEG) and other team members to deliver this important alternative energy project. Ryan provided Balance of Plant construction services including self-performed concrete work. Utilizing Siemens’ SWT 2.3 turbines for the wind towers, Ryan is placed 4 miles of access roads, and poured more than 5,000 yards of concrete. The development was financed by Union Bank, using the US Treasury ITC grant cash payment option under the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act. – RyanCompanies on YouTube
