Infra Short Film Fest

Rewarding Creativity, Vision and Ingenuity

Washington, DC – October 31, 2013

The Infrastructure Short Film Expo aims to unleash the power of film to tell a powerful story about North American infrastructure, its vision, projects and impact. Held in conjunction with the 5th North American Strategic Infrastructure Leadership Forum, the Expo will show how infrastructure has facilitated mega trends to materialize in North America, such as energy independence, global hubs, and regional connectivity, or how the lack of it has led to pathetic bottlenecks to US economic recovery. The Expo hopes to build a collaborative platform to impress, connect and educate in the nation’s capital.

Not sure what infrastructure covers or what topic to pick? Infrastructure is what we use and benefit (or suffer) from every day: road, bridge, rail, metro, bus transit, electric grid, water pipeline, water sewage, wastewater treatment, power plant, solar panel, wind turbine, oil and gas pipeline, refinery, airport, port, etc. Possible topics can be: the history, current state and future of infrastructure, project life cycle, environmental, economic and social impact, engineering and technology innovation, people in infrastructure, etc.

  • Categories of awards include: Best Film –
  • Highlighting Executive/Leadership
  • Expressing Transformative Vision
  • Demonstrating Project Excellence
  • Illustrating User Benefits
  • Representing Ideas of Future Leaders (for students only)
  • Offering an Inspiring Foreign Perspective (for infrastructure outside North America)

The submission deadline is September 30th at 6:00 PM EST.

Dear Friends,

It is encouraging to finally see clear signs of federal action to support a comprehensive US infrastructure investment plan.

Now more than ever, our advocacy is needed to keep stakeholders informed and connected, and to hold politicians to their promises to finally fix our nation’s ailing infrastructure.

We have already engaged nearly 280,000 users, and hoping to add many more as interest continues to grow.

We require your support in order to rise to this occasion, to make the most of this opportunity. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to InfrastructureUSA.org.
