The 3rd annual Smart Cities New York is coming May 13-15 to New York City. This year’s program encompasses hundreds of exhibits, presentations, panels, workshops and side events. According to the event organizers, “SCNY is North America’s leading global conference for innovators and decision-makers who are improving life in the cities of tomorrow.” This year’s topics include:
- Presenting new models of financing digital and physical infrastructure
- Dissecting issues related to procurement
- Providing guidance on designing and responding to RFPs
- Sharing best practices on innovative pilot programs
- Exploring how to foster entrepreneurship attract and retain tech talent, and build creative and inclusive economies.
- Understanding critical issues of digital transformation.
Smart Cities New York Program
Day 1 takes place on the Cornell Tech campus on Roosevelt Island. Dozens of workshops (with limited space available, so register soon) will dial in on topics like climate innovation, enlightened infrastructure, inclusion and robotics.
Days 2 and 3 will be held at Pier 36 in the Lower East Side. Starting with a fireside chat hosted by Lyft COO Jon McNeill, a series of presentations and workshops from the a wide range of experts guarantees a full two-day schedule for all attendees. Side events with separate registrations will also take place on Roosevelt Island and at the Brooklyn Navy Yard across the East River.
