The 7th annual Infrastructure Week will take place across the United States May 13-20. The event mobilizes businesses, workers, citizens and elected leaders from all levels of government around one message: America’s future will be shaped by the infrastructure choices we make today. So let’s #BuildForTomorrow
Infrastructure Week is led by a steering committee made up of major infrastructure advocates and influencers, including ASCE, AFL-CIO, Building America’s Future and the National Association of Manufacturers. This year’s events involve close to 500 affiliate organizations, companies and cities, and over 60 events are on the calendar.
The inaugural kickoff for Infrastructure Week takes place in Washington, DC, and features remarks from Thomas Donahue, President and CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce; Anthony Foxx former Secretary of Transportation; Randi Weingarten, President of the American Federation of Teachers; and a long list of infrastructure and policy leaders from around the country. Events already in the schedule include:
- Youth Infra Careers Industry Day
Los Angeles, CA - The Future of Mobility, presented by The Association of Equipment Manufacturers’ Thinking Forward Program
Dearborn, MI - P3 Connect, hosted by the National Council for Public-Private Partnerships
Denver, CO - Women’s Transportation Seminar International Annual Conference
Boston, MA - Riverboat Tour of St. Louis Region’s Freight Assets and Opportunities
St. Louis, MO
Many of Infrastructure Week’s events take place in Washington, DC, but anyone in the United States is invited to host an event and contribute to the week’s momentum. Infrastructure Week offers a number of resources to help organize events, including event ideas (from breakfasts to seminars), participation guides and press release templates. Events can also be submitted to the Infra Week calendar, where they’ll be advertised on the main event page.
