Local Detroiters may have seen test runs of the city’s new QLINE tram running its 6.6-mile loop between Downtown and Midtown in past weeks, and the city is finally getting ready to let the public climb aboard. Running along Woodward Avenue between Downtown and Midtown, this modern tram line will connect two of Detroit’s most vibrant shopping, dining and nightlife districts. The grand opening is scheduled for Friday, May 12.
Because these 87,000-pound machines will be sharing lanes with cars, buses and cyclists, M-1 RAIL (the PPP behind the QLINE) released two short videos explaining how to behave around Woodward Avenue’s new resident.
