Coming May 5-8: ACEC Annual Convention and Legislative Summit

Annual Convention and Legislative SummitEvery Spring in Washington, DC the ACEC Annual Convention welcomes over 1400 attendees. The audience is made up of C-level executives of engineering companies, along with industry professionals with a range of backgrounds.

This year, the event will be held at ACEC’s new headquarter hotel, the Marriot Wardman Park. Events will include:

  • ACEC Board of Directors Meeting
  • Welcome Reception and Dinner
  • General Session Luncheons with Keynote Speakers
  • Educational Sessions and Forums
  • CEO, CIO, CFO Roundtables
  • Congressional Issues Briefing and Capitol Hill Visits
  • Large/Small Firm Teaming Fair
  • Engineering Excellence Awards Gala

Featured speakers include political strategist Donna Brazile, former White House press secretary Dana Perino, and futurist entrepreneur Salim Ismail. Participants are also invited to join educational sessions taking place throughout the conference, tackling topics like Women in Advocacy and Understanding the New Market of Opportunity Zones.

One of the annual event’s major highlights is the Engineering Excellence Awards Gala, the “Academy Awards” of engineering. During the Gala, ACEC presents awards to engineering firms for major achievements in the preceding year. The Grand Conceptor Award goes to the engineers behind the project deemed by judges to be the year’s best overall engineering accomplishment.
