Las Vegas: Arts in Transit Along the Sahara Express

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) commissioned artist Susan Kaprov to develop three dynamic themes for the Arts in Transit program: “The Art of Neon,” the “Natural Environment of Southern Nevada,” and “Multi-Modal Transportation in Las Vegas.” Thirty-five transit stops along the Sahara Express route had a unique art piece installed.

Washington, DC: Streetcar Construction

For the last several months, DDOT and the streetcar team have been busy at work along H Street and Benning Road on the last leg of streetcar construction. Right now the team is performing final design and construction for several areas of the project, including streetcar turnarounds, the Car Barn Training Center, pole and overhead wire installation, track installation for turnarounds, pocket tracks, and final roadway.
