Palmetto Beach, FL: A Mural of Miniatures

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) along with the City of Tampa’s Art Programs Division devise an interesting way for the Palmetto Beach neighborhood to re-capture its identity while dealing with the transportation needs of Port Tampa Bay. Artist Stephen Hayford plays a major role in helping Palmetto Beach residents express community pride.

Public Transit Beats a McLaren to the Super Bowl

As we figure out the most efficient way to get to Levi’s Stadium, it turns out that that may not be the case.

Hood River Valley, OR: The Farmer’s Irrigation District

The FID’s existing open ditch irrigation system wasn’t reliable, agricultural runoff was causing water quality issues, and the system was wasting water resources. To help solve the issues, the FID used CWSRF loans to pipe and pressurize the irrigation system and to install in-pipe hydroelectric generators. The enhanced system provides irrigators reliable access to water; a range of water-savings irrigation options; and reduced labor costs and conserves six billion gallons of water annually.

Streetfilms: Austin Goes Bike Gold – LAB Makes Austin first Gold City in Texas

A few months ago, I was in Austin, Texas for the NACTO 2015 Summit. Although I was quite busy and we got hit with a major rainstorm of epic proportions, I was able to shoot enough video to put together a limited look at what is going on in the city. Even more fortunate, soon after the League of American Bicyclists (LAB) named Austin their 22nd Gold status bike city near the end of 2015, making Austin the first city in Texas to claim the honor.

Bremerton, WA: The Manette Bridge Documentary

That friend was simply known as the Manette Bridge.

In 2015, Sustainable Cleveland celebrated clean water to better connect people to their water resources to help restore, conserve and protect this valuable asset. This video is part of a larger video series that highlights different organizations, community leaders, and projects that are taking action to help clean our water. This video illustrates how NEORSD, Cleveland Metroparks, Cuyahoga River Restoration, Holden Arboretum and Western Reserve Land Conservancy are all leading the way in green infrastructure. These examples show how green infrastructure can build community, beautify our neighborhoods, and clean our water.

New York City: Jonas Blizzard 2016 Timelapse
