Modernizing Illinois’ transportation system is critical to quality of life and economic competitiveness in the Prairie State. Inadequate transportation investment, which will result in deteriorated transportation facilities and diminished access, will negatively affect economic competitiveness and quality of life in Illinois.

Building Tennessee’s Tomorrow: Anticipating the State’s Infrastructure Needs

One of the greatest fiscal challenges facing our elected officials is dealing with aging infrastructure. As the population grows and shifts, new classrooms must be built and equipped to meet our children’s needs. As roads and bridges wear out, they must be repaired or replaced to ensure our safety. And as outdated water lines begin to crack and fail, they must be upgraded to carry clean drinking water safely and efficiently. These examples are just a few of the demands confronting government officials as they struggle with the daunting task of matching limited funds to seemingly unlimited needs.

Nevada DOT: Breaking Ground on Highway 95, Phase 2B

Tuesday, February 20th, 2018

In January, NDOT broke ground on a $78 million dollar widening and upgrade to a six-mile-long stretch of U.S. Highway 95 between Ann and Kyle Canyon roads in northwest Las Vegas. The project will relieve congestion, improve efficiency and enhance safety, while providing capacity for future growth. Currently, over 52,000 vehicles daily travel through the corridor; however, traffic is expected to more than double over the next two decades.
