Oregon DOT: OR 224 and Tong Road Landslide Repairs

After multiple slides closed OR 224 in late February. Contractors got to work to stabilize the slope using various techniques. Crews are working six days a week and OR 224 should open in late April.

Woodland, WA: Drone Footage of Mudslide on SR 503

Friday, March 31st, 2017

Clearing the debris slide blocking SR 503, 20 miles east of Woodland isn’t as easy as just removing trees and rocks from the highway. A large crack shows where the rock face of the slope has separated from the hillside, making it unsafe below. Record rainfall along with freezing temperatures aided in the debris fall. As of Friday, March 17, the slope is still moving and unstable. We shot this video using a drone, so we can start developing a permanent repair plan.
