AASHTO: Transportation State to State

Posted by Infra on Thursday, July 28th, 2016

This Transportation State to State video takes you to Washington, California, Nevada and North Carolina to see what’s happening on the front lines at State Departments of Transportation across America. Under the city of Seattle, a video-equipped drone gives us a bird’s eye view inside the massive SR 99 tunnel now being drilled by a giant machine nicknamed Bertha. In Nevada, you’ll see how construction of the USA Parkway will connect one of the largest industrial centers in the world to some of the region’s major thoroughfares. In California an innovative approach called a “maintenance swarm” is saving taxpayers both time and money. North Carolina completes our tour with news about major investments in the state’s multimodal transportation network to improve efficiency, safety and mobility.

Dear Friends,

It is encouraging to finally see clear signs of federal action to support a comprehensive US infrastructure investment plan.

Now more than ever, our advocacy is needed to keep stakeholders informed and connected, and to hold politicians to their promises to finally fix our nation’s ailing infrastructure.

We have already engaged nearly 280,000 users, and hoping to add many more as interest continues to grow.

We require your support in order to rise to this occasion, to make the most of this opportunity. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to InfrastructureUSA.org.
