Creating Connections: Partnering for Success

Welcoming significant enhancements to pedestrian and bike accommodations and improved local and regional vehicular connections—the MassDOT Route 79 and I-195 Interchange Project undertaken by the Barletta Heavy/O&G Joint Venture and VHB has broken down barriers between downtown communities and their waterfront resources in Fall River, MA.

The Route 79/I-195 Interchange Improvements and Repairs and Painting of the Braga Bridge in Fall River, Massachusetts, designed by VHB, received the 2017 ACEC/MA Grand Conceptor award at the ACEC/MA Engineering Excellence and Awards Gala on March 15.
