On March 8th and 9th 2013, ADOT closed I-10 overnight in both directions for 10 hours to demolish the old Pantano Union Pacific Railroad Bridge. Drivers in the area had to travel a 67-mile detour around the closure.
Removal of the bridge will now allow commercial vehicles higher than 15 feet to travel I-10without having to leave the interstate, saving both time and money. –ArizonaDOT on YouTube.
