The City of Fresno’s General Plan Update promises to change decades-old patterns of inner-city disinvestment and sprawl on the urban fringe, redirecting critical public and private resources to a smarter, more sustainable model of growth. Key elements of the plan include revitalization of the city’s downtown; transit-oriented development; and reinvestment in underserved neighborhoods. Featuring Fresno Mayor Ashley Swearengin and Assistant Director of Planning, Keith Bergthold.
