Association of State Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO) President Jason Campbell is a Dam Safety/ Floodway Permitting Engineer with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. Jason received a BS in Plant and Soil Science (Agronomy) from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 1998, and a BS in Civil Engineering from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2005.
Jason’s experience prior to joining the State DNR includes working for a consulting engineering company, primarily on landfill covers, driving an over-the-road semi, and working as a Crop Specialist for an agricultural co-operative. He has served as President-Elect, Secretary and Treasurer of ASDSO, and was involved in ASDSO’s response to the US EPA regarding proposed rule changes for Coal Combustion Residual impoundments.
